5 cups all role flour
1 loving cup sugar
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups COLD butter (no substitutes)
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix flour, saccharide inward large mixing bowl. Cut the butter into the dry out mixture along alongside vanilla until it turns into fine crumbs. Pat crumbs into an UNgreased 10” x 15” baking pan. Prick all over alongside fork tines too bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Cool inward pan for xv minutes too thence cutting into modest squares. Cool to room temperature.
NOTE: I flora it agency besides tiring on the arms to cutting the butter into the flour past times hand. Instead, I grated it on a cheese grater too mixed it into the flour best I could. Then I transferred the flour butter mixture to my stand upwards mixer too used the whisk attachment on medium high for close twenty seconds…PERFECT crumbs. I am guessing a nutrient processor would function good too. These are SO good.
NOTE: I was non able to poke holes inward my cookies correct away (the crumbs seemed besides dry). I position them inward the oven for close xv minutes too and thence took them out too poked holes all over the dough alongside a fork too it worked fine.
