Classic Creamy Coleslaw

The calendar says spring is here, although today (5/18/2013) it is snowing similar crazy hither inwards Alaska. I'm non letting that halt me from planning a barbecue this weekend (wish me luck!!).

THIS SALAD COULDN'T BE EASIER!!!

I honey "make ahead" salads that become good amongst ANYTHING you lot create upward one's heed to grill. This classic coleslaw recipe is non solely refreshing, but it is cheap to brand and you tin sack arrive 2-3 days ahead of fourth dimension (if demand be) which is wonderful for busy summertime weekends.

If you lot arrive ahead of time, merely gently toss earlier serving

4 cups shredded cabbage
2 large carrots grated

1/2 loving cup mayo
1/4 loving cup sour cream
3 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard (I purpose Honey Dijon)
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dark pepper
1/4 loving cup milk

Whisk the terminal ix ingredients together in addition to toss amongst the shredded veggies. Mix good in addition to Chill AT LEAST two hours (overnight is fifty-fifty better). That's it, quick in addition to simple!!
