Bacon Risotto

There are huge "blind spots" inwards my cooking repertoire, like various herbs that I've never been introduced to, or spices that picky-picky married adult man refuses to swallow as well as and thus at that spot is ever the fiscal restrictions that hold me from trying sure enough foods.

I'm non sure enough which of these categories risotto falls into (I've never fifty-fifty tasted it earlier today)  but I'm guessing that the $10 cost tag for a 36 ounce jounce of Arborio rice was purpose of the "hold up". I know I volition hold upward on a search for a to a greater extent than reasonable source, inwards the close future, for this specialty rice since nosotros liked it thus much.

This recipe came from allrecipes.com as well as it is absolutely delicious. I am actually looking forwards to reheating it for tomorrows lunch!!
1/2 pound bacon (fried, drained as well as crumbled)
v cups chicken stock

4 cloves garlic, minced (see note)
1½ cups Arborio rice (do non usage regular rice)
2 tablespoons butter
